What is NT Cutter Plate?
NT Cutter sanding plate is very easy to use, as it cuts in all directions. Unlike sandpaper, which must be discarded after a few uses, sanding plate has a very long life.
It is excellent for smoothing plastics or wood. It resists clogging, and can be easily cleaned with a wire brush if dust does accumulate on the cutting surface.
NT Cutter is designed to be mounted on a handle with screws. This means that different grits can easily be exchanged depending on the work that needs to be done.
Grades of Grits from Extra Coarse to Fine
Extra Coarse (called Extra Rough on the package) is designed to remove a lot of wood very quickly. It is made like a rasp. The metal plate is perforated with holes.
Coarse (called Rough on the package) is the equivalent to medium-coarse. This is a customer favorite. The steel plate is etched with many small bumps to smooth down the surface being worked.
Medium comes in regular and stainless steel. It is the equivalent to medium-fine.
Extra fine (called File-type on the package) is very fine.
